Congratulations to Dr. Salvatore Frangiamore on completing his first two rotator cuff–sparing shoulder replacement procedures!
Dr. Frangiamore is the first doctor in Northeast Ohio to perform this specialized approach and is among only a handful of doctors across the country currently performing it.
Unlike traditional approaches, this technique is designed to preserve important soft tissues around the shoulder while addressing the damaged joint, with the goal of maintaining the shoulder’s natural structures whenever possible.
“This technique offers patients the ability to accelerate their rehabilitation very early and avoid the potential issues associated with rotator cuff healing after replacement,” explains Dr. Frangiamore.
And for appropriately selected patients, the potential impact can be significant.
“For the right patient, this approach is ‘game-changing.’ I believe it can improve outcomes and get patients back to activities they enjoy much quicker than traditional replacement,” says Dr. Frangiamore.
